Email #8: Basic Blog Creation

Dear <firstname> ,

Today we're going to learn the basics
of blog creation and the first few steps
you'll need to take in getting your blog
set up.

Firstly, if you've not signed up for a hosting
and domain, do so now. Good hosts I
recommend include hostgator and bluehost
and domain name sellers include namescheap
or godaddy.

After that, log in to your Cpanel account
(e.g. www.yourdomain.com/cpanel) using the
username and password you received by email.
When you face the main page, scroll down to the
bottom and click on the Fantastico icon (usually
represented with a smiley face).

You will see a list of options on the left. Search for
the 'wordpress' option. When you have found it,
click on it, and click 'new installation'.

You will be directed to a page full of blank pages
to fill in. After all that is done, hit the 'Install Wordpress'
button. Follow whatever instructions are left and
viola! Your basic blog is up.

Simply upload your wordpress template via the
FTP later and after that, your next step would be to
start optimizing your blog for the search engines
and getting loads of fresh, unique content as well.

That brings us to one of the main keys of having
a successful blog Content.

To your blogging profits,
